vision

vision
Paranormal experience interpreted by the subject as revelation, and usually of some object or scene, either heavenly or earthly, and either of the present or of the future. Isaiah saw God on his throne (Isa. 6); Amos had visions of locusts (Amos 7:1–3), of fire (drought; 7:4–6) and of a plumb line (7:7–8) which he interpreted as a message of doom for Israel.
